Interfaith Service
The Girl Scout community honors and respects all faith traditions. The Interfaith Service celebrates the rich faith traditions of our Girl Scouts sisters.
What is the event?
A recognition and celebration of all the faiths represented in the Girl Scout community represents.

When is the event?
April 28, 2012, starting at 10:00 a.m.        

Where does it happen?
The National Cathedral is the chosen location for this special event.  As a spiritual resource for our nation, the cathedral is a great and beautiful edifice in the city of Washington, and an indispensable ministry for people of all faiths and perspectives. (Visit website)

Do I need tickets or passes?

Yes, the Interfaith Service is free to attendees, but you must register and receive a ticket for this event, even if you are volunteering, performing or participating. Due to popular demand, this event is "sold out." If you submitted your name to the waitlist/lottery you will be notified by mid-March.  All tickets will be distributed by mail in late March.

A diligent effort has been made to include members of many faith traditions to the service.

How can I honor my favorite Girl Scout?
You can give a gift in honor of a troop leader, Girl Scout, or volunteer through a philanthropic gift online. 
Please visit our donation website
choose Interfaith where it says “I wish to give to,” and write the honorees name next to “In Honor / Memory of.”  All donations are tax deductable and support local Girl Scouts through the SHARE Annual Giving Campaign.

What about My Promise, My Faith Awards?
The new My Promise, My Faith awards will be a highlight of this event.  Due to the large initial interest in this award, girls who have earned it by April 28th will be recognized in the service by being asked to stand.
